The United States Health Care System is broken! If it wasn't broken, it wouldn't be headline news like the current U.S. Open. “Over 89% of Americans in a November 2005 survey believe that our current Health Care System is Broken.” This is According to “Americans for Healthcare and Center for American Progress.” One economist said that we don't really have a health care system here in America to begin with, we have a disease and sickness care system. Which really holds true because when we get sick, it is then we go see the Health Care System. Then again, it is more profitable to treat symptoms... So do we really have a health care system here in the United States?
Is America really progressing? The World Health Organization ranks the United States the 72nd Healthiest country in the world, yet we are the most powerful country on planet earth. The United States is the number 1 spender in Health Care among the other countries in the world. On a side note, GM said they spend more health care then they do on steal and they make steal based cars. Starbucks spend more money on health care than they do on coffee and their business is coffee. The United States is the #1 spender on health care yet ranks 37th in overall health care performance according to “The World Health Report 2000 Health Systems: Improving Performance."
There is only one real answer to our health care problems. Pretty much each individual in the United States should take a proactive approach into their own health. Exercise more, eat better, sleep on time... Right? Most likely, the residual outcome of good health efforts will results in overall good health.
