Tony Robbins is not a motivational speaker

I recently came across this video of Tony Robbins.  Before I watched this video, I didn't know what Tony Robbins looked like and what he really did.  I simply assumed he was just another motivational speaker every one goes ga ga about.  I have heard Tony Robbins name in the TV show Chuck when Chuck finally finds his new direction in life and Captain Awesome assumed he found Tony Robbins.  I have also heard that people who follow Tony Robbins was cultish:  The Tony Robbins Cult.  But to me, Tony Robbins was a name people on occasion mention.

Anyhow, I'm glad I discovered this video that someone posted on Facebook.  I got to know a little bit about Tony Robbins and what he does.  So when people talk about this guy, at least I know a little bit about him.  Apparently, Tony Robbins says he is not a motivational speaker.  Strange, I'm sure everyone assumes he is because everyone needs motivation.  To add in my opinion, everyone needs a dose of motivation because it doesn't last.  Zig Ziglar said it best, “People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily.” But Tony Robbins specifically says he is not a motivational speaker but he specifically says he's The Why Guy.   He talks about why we do the things we do.

Makes a lot of sense because everyone is really looking for a sense of purpose: The Why.  That is of course what makes us human.  If you don't seek purpose, then you're probably lost (I was going to say Alien, but to think about it, Aliens traveling to earth must have purpose: to take over the world, so I just left it as lost).  Do you agree?  Disagree?

Look we mess up quite a few times in our lives and that is okay.  Me, I take it as a learning experience, and some might be really expensive, but regardless, failures lead to success (that is of course if I learn from my failures).   Gosh, I have a ton of failures.  But you know what?  I keep on doing it because I have  a why, a purpose!  Winston Churchill did say on the subject on how to succeed: "Never, Never, Never Quit!"
