Nothing is more powerful that word of mouth. It is so powerful when someone says something sucks. I was so excited to watch The Last Airbender, but my cousin said that people were so disappointed that people was walking out of the theatre. Now what he says will always be in the back of my mind. I am being pushed not to watch it.
On the other hand when someone says this is a good movie, we would watch it right away. In the same conversation, he talked about how good Inception with Leonardo Di Caprio was. So, now I’m bound to watch that over The Last Airbender. Mind you, I have not read any reviews about both movies. I have only watched the trailers and both movies looked really cool. But one person ruined it for me (my cousin).
I was hoping M. Knight Shyamalan would do a good job with The Last Airbender (now in my mind that movie sucks, without giving it the benefit of the doubt).
Word of mouth is so powerful! In business, this works the same way. If people say your store/shop is good, people will go to it buy stuff from you. If people say your blog is good, people would go and read what you have to say and recommend it to others. If you have a particular product that is good, then people would buy simply from the people recommending them to you. It’s like people would be your personal walking Ambassadors.
However, if ten people say it’s good to someone and one person says it sucks, in most cases the whole thing sucks to that person. Whatever it is! It’s human nature… I don’t know the solution to this other than whatever you sell or promote, make sure it points towards the “I’ll recommend it to my friends” scale. Then we’ll have all the success we are looking for!
That is why network marketing works! People recommending good products and services to their friends and it simply trickle down to new people taking the products and promoting the business. That is of course, the products and services are good. Otherwise, it’ll suck!
I’m talking about this because from everything that I do like blogs & youtube videos, what is more effective is people recommending me to others. I have an easier time getting customers because people simply recommend me to their friends and family. It works! It’s so much easier!
So my goal is keeping everyone happy and it’s natural. What I promote are good products which is good! All I need to do is share it with a few people and those people recommends me to more people. Word of mouth works!
